Advanced Open Water Diver
Welcome to the world of advanced diving with the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver program!
This prestigious certification is designed to recognize divers who have gone beyond the Open Water level and acquired superior skills. With its high rating among recreational diver training organizations, the SSI Advanced Open Water certification is a mark of distinction. Please note that it is distinct from the Advanced Adventurer course, which is equivalent to the Advanced Open Water rating in other dive organizations. To earn the coveted Advanced Open Water rating, you must complete four SSI Specialty courses and log at least 24 dives.

What are my requirements?
SSI Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organisation).
Four SSI Specialty Diver certifications.
24 logged dives.
Minimum age: 10 years old
How long will it take?
Depends on the number of logged dives and if you’ve done any Specialty courses.
Where can I go from there?
You can continue to dive and apply all the skills you have learned in the various specialties. When you complete a total of five Speciality Diver courses (including the Diver Stress and Rescue course) and have 50 logged dives you can get the rating of Master Diver.
